Standard Contest Rules

By participating in any contest provided by Muskegon Community Radio, contestants agree to adhere to all Hey Radio contest rules.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and the prizes awarded are non-exchangeable, non-negotiable, non-transferable, and hold no cash value.

There will be one winner per household every thirty days, and a maximum of six wins per calendar year, excluding roommates unless otherwise stated.

Should a winner be unable to accept the prize, it will be forfeited.

Unless the prize is mailed, any winner residing within a thirty-five-mile radius of Muskegon, Michigan, must pick up the prize at Hey Radio’s studios during business hours within thirty days from when the prize becomes available; otherwise, it will result in forfeiture. In cases where the prize is mailed, Muskegon Community Radio is not liable for any lost, delayed, or misdirected mail.

If the prize includes concert or event tickets, the winner’s inability to claim those tickets at the event will also lead to forfeiture.

Muskegon Community Radio is not accountable for any events that might be postponed or canceled and will not replace any prize that cannot be fulfilled due to such circumstances.

Participants in contests offering significant prizes, such as trips or automobiles, must be 18 years of age or older; otherwise, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.

All calls made to any contest phone number or studio request line will be recorded, and they may be aired live or at any time by Muskegon Community Radio. Winners consent to permit Muskegon Community Radio to use their name, likeness, and/or voice for promotional purposes without prior notice or compensation in any broadcast, print, or electronic formats.

Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes and fees related to their prizes.

Winners agree to accept all prizes “as-is” and to irrevocably release Muskegon Community Radio, its affiliates, representatives, agents, employees, contractors, insurers, and successors from any and all liability, claims, demands, and actions arising from the acceptance of prizes or in connection with the contest, regardless of how such liabilities may arise.

Muskegon Community Radio contests may be broadcast nationally on affiliate stations of Hey Radio, as well as available online through Hey Radio’s website, mobile devices, and other applications. Muskegon Community Radio is not liable for phone service issues, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions, or other technological difficulties that may hinder an individual’s ability to complete a call or entry method. Due to possible delays in online stream broadcasting, listeners of the online or mobile streams, as well as those on delayed IP service affiliate stations, may not be able to participate effectively in on-air contests.

Occasionally, Muskegon Community Radio may conduct joint contests with unique contest names and multiple entry methods on Hey Radio and its affiliated websites.

Employees and volunteers of Muskegon Community Radio, any network affiliate, and their immediate families are not eligible to win. Employees of other broadcasting stations, including radio and television, are also ineligible.

Any ties, disputes, conflicts, questions, or concerns about the contests or associated prizes will be resolved by the Muskegon Community Radio promotions department, and their decisions are final.

Contests and prizes are subject to federal, state, and local regulations and laws and are void where restricted or prohibited. No purchase is necessary.

Muskegon Community Radio reserves the right to modify the Hey Radio contest rules at any time, with changes taking effect upon announcement.
